The roles of all health care stakeholders have changed. We're going to need to start looking at health care from a different perspective. Data and information will be key- we've just got to figure out a way to collect it and communicate it better. Consumers will need to step-up to the plate and become engaged participants instead of followers- but they need help. Providers will be adjusting business models to reflect the new realities of new relationships. Health plans and the government will need to reach out and improve their relationships with almost everyone and execute and communicate better to reduce the "trust barrier" existing with them today. Employers will face some critical strategic issues as they to try to address the costs and challenges of health care as an important part of their business strategies. Everyone will need a better understanding of the roles and responsibilities in this new world and will need to communicate better than ever before (and not just with marketing brochures, banners, or talking points).
Our approach is based on a fundamental belief that stakeholders first need to confront the realities of the changing health care landscape. That is not always easy in this industry.
