Remember Our Troops

Sometimes it just feels like our country can’t work together any more. The partisanship and divisiveness we experience in our politics and media makes it feel like our country is irreconcilably divided in almost all aspects of American life.
When you start to think that way, take a minute to remember the men and women in uniform protecting our country. These heroes are away from the comforts of home, living in unimaginable conditions, and making sacrifices we can’t even begin to comprehend; Their families and loved ones are making sacrifices as well.  Remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect our nation. The character of these individuals provides examples the rest of us can learn from.
These heroes don’t ask and don’t care what political party you support. They don’t ask what religion you practice. They don’t care where you came from, how big your home is, or what car you drive. They join together for a common mission; to carry-out the tasks our country asks of them to protect our freedoms and way of life.
Let’s always remember our troops and their families. The rest of the country can learn from them what it really means to be an American.
