Web Sites To Use
Staying Informed
There's a lot going on in health care. It's important to stay on top of what is happening on all fronts- provider, consumer, health plan, and government. We've organized a pretty decent set of existing web sites you can use to dig deeper into specific issues or to find some help when you need it. Just click on any of the segments to the right and see what we've got. Again, just because we post the site- doesn't mean we agree with everything. Our goal is to provide multiple perspectives from a single source to allow you to come to your own conclusions.
www.factcheck.org (A project of the Annenburg Public Policy Center you can use this site to check facts and keep everybody honest)
www.politifact.com (This site can help you sort the fact from fiction in politics. The "Truth-O-Meter" is a pretty nifty gadget you can use to determine your view on many topics.
www.procon.org (This is a pretty interesting site that presents alternative views on many social topics. It's used a lot by educators but is certainly applicable to help others in their critical thinking skills on many different topics)
