Health Plan Sites (The Health Plan Perspective)

Health Plans also provide some good information through their internet sites. Unfortunately, many people think there are other motives involved and people don't trust their health plans very much right now. So, they are leery of the information. Health plans are doing a much better job of providing information- they just need to work on their "trust barrier."  AHIP is the main "association"/spokesperson for health plans in this country. They too, are trying to improve communication and engagement of individuals through the information they provide. Make sure to check local health plan sites regularly to stay informed of new programs, policies, and rule changes especially with the new health reform legislation- they've got some creative new tools to help.
